Slab Picnic Tables Installed At Glenburn Recreation Reserve
The Picnic Tables made from Mountain Ash Slabs have been installed at the Glenburn Recreation Reserve.
The installation required a tandem trailer, flat bed truck and a forklift to complete.
The Mountain Ash slabs were purchased from #1 Creek Timber Mill (a community timber mill milling reclaimed Black Saturday trees) and the tables built by the Members at the Kinglake Ranges Men's Shed.
Huge thanks goes to all the Shed Members who were involved with this project, especially, Shane and Glen for the timber work and to John for the steel frame work. Thanks also to Smiley and John for the use of the tandem trailer and truck, and a big thanks to Eddy of Eddy's Towing for the use of his forklift !

PS the supports you see are only temporary and will be removed when the concrete has set.

The Post Office Hotel, in Sydney Road Coburg, has purchased two Cypress Pine Picnic Tables for it's revamped Beer Garden. Managing Director of the Post Office Hotel, Shannon Vanderwert, saw the tables in The Shed Shop and purchased them online. Members made and delivered the two tables within a week of getting the order.
If you're ever down Sydney Road, make sure you call into the Post Office Hotel and check out the Beer Garden and Our Picnic Tables.
