The Scanlon Foundation today granted the Kinglake Ranges Men's Shed a $15,000 Grant to go towards the Education and Men's Health Acitivities to be held at the Shed. The Kinglake Ranges Men's Shed wish to publicly thank the Scanlon Foundation for it's social investment in the Kinglake Ranges Community through this Grant.
The Scanlon Foundation was established in June 2001, It's mission is to "to support the creation of a larger cohesive Australian society". We make grants for general charitable purposes in Australia. Our principle areas of interest are: Cultural Diversity and Social Cohesion. The Foundation is supporting a number of Social Cohesion Research projects. It also wishes to invest as a "Social Entrepreneur" in Cultural Diversity and Social Cohesion through Grant Giving. It is a member of Philanthropy Australia, the national membership organisation for grant making trusts and foundations.
